Today at the coast was one of those incredible winter days. Bright, warm and breathtaking. It’s December here in Northern California and its one of my favorite times of the year. Crisp and if your lucky, the 56 degrees can feel like 70. And today was one of those days.
On the way home, at the local Farm Stand. The signs were up for Crab.
They had a whole truck of live Crabs. Not to mention fesh organic veggies and flowers. All lined up perfectly in a rainbow of healthy color.
Living here on the coast and having a Farm Stand on the honor system, open 24 hours a day is one my favorite things about costal living.
We approached the crate with all the live crabs and made our selection. His name is Hank and he weighs in at 2 pounds.
With Hank in tow, we went home after a perfect day on the beach to eat Hank for dinner. The spice ball was a great addition to our pot of boiling water! Check out the spice ball here. http://www.mermaidshula.com/the-spice-ball/
You are so blessed to live by the ocean with it’s abundance of freshness and beauty. I bet Hank was succulent and awesome! Thank you Hank!
Love this!! Name it, then eat it. 🙂
Great photos. Truly.
